   Dana grew up in Belchertown, Massachusetts. She attended Wilbraham & Monson Academy for high school and then went on to attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst. At UMASS she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. While studying at UMASS she fell in love with alternative medicine and made the decision to become an acupuncturist. 
   Dana went on to attend Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at New York Chiropractic College. As part of her education she spent time in China, part of which was clinical experience at a Traditional Chinese Medicine hospital. She became dually enrolled and graduated with both a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a Master of Science in Applied Clinical Nutrition. 
   She made Dean's List consecutively and graduated both programs with honors. She completed her board exams and became nationally board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Dipl. O.M.). She is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the state of Massachusetts and has returned to Belchertown to practice what she loves.
