Traditional Chinese Medicine & Facial Rejuvenation

Acupuncture originated many thousands of years ago in China. Acupuncture involves the insertion of hair thin, solid, single-use, sterile, stainless steel needles into certain points on the body. The insertion of the needle involves very little, if any pain and treatments are usually very relaxing. A patient sits or lays with the needles in for approximately 20-30 minutes.
Specific points on the body are utilized based on the patient's conditions and traditional Chinese medical diagnosis. The needles influence the body in a way to bring bodily functions back into balance and to help the body heal itself.
Part of Chinese medicine is the use of traditional Chinese herbs. I specialize in the proper diagnosis and prescription of complex herbal formulas.
I also specialize in hands on techniques such as Tuina (Chinese massage), cupping (a suction technique that increases circulation and decreases pain), and gua sha (an ancient scraping technique that breaks up stagnation in the muscle to relieve pain).
Another area of specialization is Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture. Facial rejuvenation treatments combine the spa like experience of a facial with very small acupuncture needles on the face to help reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging areas, with an overall increase of circulation and facial luster.
