Initial Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine Treatments
New patient treatments at Quabbin Valley Acupuncture are longer than return visits and include a rigorous intake in order to form an individualized, complex Chinese medical diagnosis. Plan on spending an hour or more at your first appointment.
Patient and practitioner will work together to plan a course of treatment and set goals. Much of the appointment will involve discussion of the current condition along with an in-depth traditional Chinese medical assessment. A short acupuncture session is also included along with possibly some of the other traditional Oriental medical therapies (cupping, gua sha, tuina, diet and lifestyle counseling, and traditional Chinese herbal medicine).
The cost for the first treatment is the same as a return visit, $50 due at time of service.

Return Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine Treatments

Return visit cost is $50 due at time of service.
Chinese Herbal Medicine Consults
Like an Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine treatment the initial session includes a rigorous intake in order to form an individualized, complex Chinese medicine diagnosis. The initial treatment will take around 30 minutes. A Chinese herbal medicine plan will be discussed and herbs will be ordered and available for pick-up on a later date. Please print and fill out the following forms to bring to your first appointment:

Return visits will include a quick discussion about progress, changes in condition, and goals, and the herbal formula may be changed. Return visits may be shorter than 30 minutes.
